Pat Police, a native of Ogulagha community, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, has formally retracted allegations previously made against the people of Ogulagha, admitting that the claims were unfounded and offering an unreserved apology to the community.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Pat Police acknowledged that the allegations were made without sufficient verification and expressed regret for the distress and misunderstanding they caused.

“I sincerely withdraw my earlier allegations against the good people of Ogulagha Kingdom. Upon further review of the facts, I have realised that my claims were inaccurate and should not have been made. I deeply regret the inconvenience and embarrassment my statements may have caused,” the statement read.

Pat Police extended the apology to community leaders, youths, elders and residents, saying there was no intention to bring the community into disrepute or incite public resentment.

She appealed for forgiveness and pledged to exercise greater caution in handling sensitive issues in the future, stressing the importance of verifying information before making public statements.

The apology comes after the earlier allegations attracted widespread reactions across social media, prompting calls for clarification and accountability.
