The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has asked Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to begin preparing to leave office, claiming that the people of the state have rejected his leadership.

In a statement issued Monday by its Executive Director, Professor Isiaq Akintola, the group accused Adeleke of deceiving residents and mismanaging governance. Akintola pointed to the recently commissioned Osogbo flyover, which was reported damaged just three weeks after its inauguration, as evidence of poor performance.

He further alleged that Adeleke had turned his administration into what he described as a government for his hometown of Ede, while also mishandling local government affairs across the state.

“As preparations for the gubernatorial election in Osun on 15th August, 2026 enter top gear, we remind Governor Ademola Adeleke to start packing his dancing kits out of Oke-Fia Government House before it is too late,” Akintola said.

MURIC listed several grievances, including the damaged flyover, alleged “edenisation” of governance, examination malpractice, and mismanagement of local councils. The group insisted that Adeleke had “crossed the Rubicon” and predicted he would be “roundly defeated” in the upcoming election.
