Operation Saeqeh Phase 10: Iran Strikes US Radar and Air Defenses Across Kuwait, Bahrain

Iran has announced the tenth phase of Operation Saeqeh, claiming it launched attack drones against US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain amid the escalating Iran war.

Iran has announced the tenth phase of Operation Saeqeh (Lightning), claiming its armed forces launched another wave of attack drones against US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain as hostilities between Washington and Tehran has seen an incline in recent days. The announcement comes amid an expanding regional conflict that has seen both sides exchange strikes on military infrastructure following the collapse of the ceasefire reached earlier this year.

According to a statement released by the Iranian Army, the latest operation targeted multiple American military assets, including communication systems, radar installations, air defence equipment and fuel storage facilities. The claims have not been independently verified, and the United States has not immediately commented on the reported attacks.

The Iranian Army said drones struck Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, targeting communication systems, Super Hawk radar installations and Patriot air defence systems. Tehran claimed the base had already sustained significant damage during previous waves of missile and drone attacks conducted under Operation Saeqeh.

Iran also stated that Arash attack drones targeted Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, where they allegedly struck Patriot missile batteries, radar systems and fuel storage facilities. According to the Iranian military, the Patriot batteries at the base were responsible for protecting American transport aircraft as well as MQ-9 Reaper drones operating from the installation.

In its statement, the Army asserted that continued US military action had only strengthened Iran’s determination to defend its national interests. It added that the country’s military capabilities were rooted in public support, operational readiness and what it described as the legacy of its fallen commanders and soldiers.

The announcement follows Phase Nine of Operation Saeqeh, during which Iran claimed it carried out drone strikes against Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan. According to a statement carried by Iran’s Fars News Agency, attack drones targeted fixed radar installations, communication systems and fuel depots at the US-operated base.

Iran said the operation was conducted in retaliation for recent attacks on Iranian territory, including a reported strike on the Bampur barracks in Iranshahr that Tehran claimed killed seven Iranian soldiers. The latest escalation comes as tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz continue to grow despite previous diplomatic efforts, including a Pakistan-mediated memorandum aimed at reducing hostilities between Iran and the United States.

Both countries have continued military operations in recent days, with repeated strikes targeting military infrastructure, naval assets and strategic facilities across the wider Middle East. Neither the US Department of Defense nor US Central Command (CENTCOM) had confirmed Iran’s claims regarding the latest drone strikes at the time of publication.
