Imo APC disaster might price Tinubu South-East votes in 2027 – Group
A political group, the Renewed Hope Foot Soldiers for Tinubu, RHFST, has warned that the lingering disaster in Imo State All Progressives Congress, APC, might price President Bola Tinubu South-East votes within the 2027 presidential election.
In an announcement by its National President, Gbenga Owojori, on Saturday, the group mentioned the disaster involving Governor Hope Uzodimma and former Governor Rochas Okorocha have to be resolved urgently.
According to the group, if the Imo APC disaster isn’t settled, it’ll have an effect on President Tinubu’s possibilities of getting votes from the South-East in 2027.
“Imo APC crisis could cost Tinubu South-East votes. The dispute has consequences beyond the constituency.
“It has altered the political calculations surrounding the Senate presidency and raised concern {that a} main South-East contender could possibly be shut out of the competition earlier than the subsequent Senate is constituted,” the assertion mentioned.
The group warned Governor Uzodimma and Okorocha to sheathe their swords and work for the unity of the social gathering in Imo State and the South-East.
