The Kano State Fire Service Public Relations Officer, PFS Kabiru Isah Jafaru, disclosed this in an announcement on Saturday.
According to the assertion, the incident occurred at about 7:39 am on Saturday.
“We received a distress call from a timber dealer, Alhaji Abba, and immediately mobilised firefighters from various stations within the metropolitan area to the scene,” he mentioned.
According to him, the crew discovered that the hearth had unfold to a number of sections of the market earlier than their arrival.
“Several sections of Kofar Ruwa Timber Market were affected by the fire, destroying 75 permanent buildings and 35 temporary structures,” he added.
