A socio-political students’ group, Yayi-Kudirat Students Campaign Organisation (YAKSCO), has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term re-election.

The group while briefing newsmen in Abeokuta also endorsed Senator Solomon Adeola, and Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun for the 2027 Ogun State governorship race.

The group convener, Comrade Oladimeji Uthman, stated that the endorsement followed extensive consultations across campus structures, student leaders, and key stakeholders statewide.

He added that President Tinubu’s NELFUND policy resonates with the students’ constituency, saying that it will ensure the continuity of the President’s economic reforms by massively voting for his reelection.

According to Uthman, the Ogun state All Progressive Congress (APC) ticket represents a strategic combination of legislative experience and corporate exposure necessary to consolidate the achievements of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration.

“Leadership is not merely about promises; it is about capacity, experience, measurable interventions, and the ability to translate opportunities into tangible benefits”, he said.

The group lauded the current administration for laying an industrial foundation in Ogun State and urged the incoming leadership to ensure policy continuity rather than abandoning ongoing developmental projects.

Uthman noted that pairing Adeola with Adegunwa-Balogun provides a balanced partnership capable of driving innovation, economic growth, and youth advancement.

The group further revealed it has already activated grassroots networks across tertiary institutions in the state to drive voter education, registration drives, and peaceful civic engagement ahead of the 2027 polls.
