Nasarawa: Sule will complete his term – APC chair

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa state, Dr. Aliyu Bello, Monday, stated that Governor Abdullahi Sule will complete his second term in office, saying he was confident the governor will not be the first political leader to be defeated while seeking re-election in the state.

Bello stated this while speaking at the opening of the APC office in Rimi Uku, Lafia, where he urged party members to remain focused ahead of future elections.

He said those insinuating that Governor Sule would lose the election would be disappointed, adding that the governor would successfully rule for eight years.

“If someone is praying hard for Governor Sule to lose the election in 2027, he will not be the first to lose. Many prayers have been made, and God willing, Sule will succeed.

“However, if your hope is for Sule to lose, if that is your expectation, it will not happen, nor will it come to pass,” he said.

The APC chairman said the party was prepared to compete with all political parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Social Democratic Party (SDP).

He added that anyone who believes that the APC is only preparing to compete against Sen. Ahmed Wadada is making a mistake  because the party is ready to face all political opponents.

Bello also described the era of “open-field games” in politics as outdated, while urging party members to remain committed to their responsibilities and avoid distractions.

He called on members to trust in God’s will concerning leadership, saying no individual could take away what God had destined for a person.

“Whatever God has already decreed and granted to you, no one can take it away. God never fails in His work,” he said.

Bello assured Governor Sule of the party’s support and prayers, adding that the governor would complete his second term in office,” he said.
