My son Ozonna didn't make viral video campaigning for Peter Obi – Mrs Soludo

Wife of the governor of Anambra State Mrs Nonye Soludo has denied that her son, Ozonna Soludo, originated a circulating video by which he was seen campaigning for Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, candidate, Mr Peter Obi.

In the now viral video, Ozonna who’s normally known as a social media sensation was seen dancing to music selling Peter Obi, with the brand and movie of the NDC candidate pasted on it.

But Mrs Soludo, in a press assertion by her media aide, Mr Daniel Ezeigwe said that the video was mischievously doctored.

According to the assertion: “The video being mischievously circulated and falsely attributed to Ozonna Soludo, son of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, did not originate from him. Any attempt to associate him with the video is false, malicious, and entirely unacceptable.

“We are nicely conscious of the person recognized as Kelechi Simon, reportedly a medical radiographer residing in Delta State, who has been linked to the origin and circulation of this malicious video. Let or not it’s clearly understood that we’re watching this growth intently.

“Those peddling this misinformation are hereby warned to desist immediately. The laws against misinformation and libel remain in force, and anyone who engages in unlawful conduct should be prepared to face the full consequences. The internet is not a lawless territory, and political desperation is no defence against the law.

“Let this function a extreme warning. Verify earlier than you publish. Think earlier than you share. Those who intentionally unfold falsehoods mustn’t assume they’re past the attain of the legislation.

“Everyone is free to campaign for their preferred candidate, express political opinions, and engage in legitimate political debate. However, such freedom must not be abused through fabricated stories, malicious propaganda, or deliberate falsehoods.”
