Veteran comedian Julius Agwu broke down in tears during a recent appearance on the Beer Parlour Talkshow, weeping as he recalled the devastating fallout of his health crisis.

Agwu, who dominated the entertainment industry in the mid-2000s with hit tracks like Handwork and his premier comedy shows, saw his life shift drastically in May 2015 when a sudden seizure led to a battle with a brain tumor. Although he survived a major brain surgery in May 2016, he revealed that the medical ordeal severely impacted his memory.

Overwhelmed with emotion, the pioneer of “musicomedy” opened up about the deep financial and emotional betrayal he faced from close associates during his recovery. Agwu stated that several friends deserted him, stopped talking to him, and that his own manager stole his money. Expressing the immense pain of being abandoned by the industry he helped build, the comedian handed his grievances over to a higher power, praying against those behind his travails and stating that he leaves them to God

‘’Musicomedy, I formed it. That’s to tell you how my brain works. That is why…everythung (he burst into tears…

Anyone who has a hand in what happened to me, that person…..I will be wondering what kind of life I am living. My friends deserted me. It is well!”
