Lamido constitutes 2027 PDP campaign council in Jigawa

The Jigawa state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2027 general election, Alhaji Mustapha Sule Lamido, has constituted his campaign council ahead of the 2027 polls.

A statement personally signed and released in Dutse, Lamido said he will chair the council, with his running mate Alhaji Inuwa Muhammad Tahir  as deputy chairman.

The statement said Honourable Shehu Liman Wan was named director-general, while Honourable Umar Kyari will serve as director of Media and Publicity.

Other principal officers announced include Senator Mustapha Khabeeb as vice chairman I, Jigawa Central; Ambassador Ibrahim Musa Kazaure as vice chairman II, Northwest; and former House of Representatives member, Honourable Yusuf Saleh Dunari as vice chairman III, Northeast.

The statement said IGP (rtd) Suleiman Abba and former Inspector-General of Police were appointed directors of Security.

and Hon Aminu Wada Abubakar, PDP candidate for Dutse/Kiyawa Federal Constituency, was named director of Finance.

Also appointed were Hon Nasir Mohammed as secretary, Dr. Nuraddeen Muhammad as director of Strategy and Mobilisation, Dr. Umar H. Birniwa, as director of Planning, Research, Organisation, Documentation and Venues while Fahad Hashim was appointed director of Youth and Support Groups.

Hajiya Murja Aliyu Garki was similarly appointed director of Women Mobilisation among others.
