‘Do Not Receive It,’ NDLEA Says Sydicate Concealing Colorado In Cargo For Unsuspecting Nigerians Abroad
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has warned Nigerians against accepting consolidated cargoes sent from abroad without knowing their full contents, saying some are being contaminated with illicit drugs.
The agency said some Nigerians abroad were sending cargoes containing substances such as Colorado and Loud to family members and friends in Nigeria, who were listed as consignees or recipients.
The NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, raised the alarm in a post on X on Sunday.
Babafemi said unsuspecting recipients risked arrest and prosecution if the consignments were found to contain illicit drugs.

He wrote, “RED ALERT! The new thing now is that some of our ‘abroad’ people are sending home consolidated cargoes contaminated with illicit drugs especially Colorado and Loud, putting their family members and friends as consignees or recipients.
The warning here is, if you’re not part of the syndicate, don’t accept to receive consignments on behalf of your ‘abroad’ brother or sister or friend particularly if you don’t know the full content of the consignment.
“Many are already behind bars for this and the number keeps increasing with daily operations by @ndlea_nigeria officers. Please heed this warning and save yourself of the jail experience.”
The warning was accompanied by video footage showing agency operatives unpacking large black plastic-wrapped packages on a metal table.
Inside, clear plastic bags containing yellowish, lumpy substances consistent with seized cannabis products were revealed.
This alert comes against the backdrop of NDLEA operations targeting international drug trafficking routes into Nigeria.
