The Special Adviser to Kebbi State Governor on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki, in a combined effort with the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Abubakar Ahmad, have disbursed N4 million to the people of their constituency, at Shiyar Sarakuna, Birnin Kebbi.
Each beneficiary drawn from youth and women groups, as well as people with special needs, received N20, 000 to engage in profitable ventures.
The action is in conformity with the directive by Governor Idris to top civil servants and public office holders to routinely offer financial and material support to communities in their localities or be shown the way out.
The special adviser, Alhaji Yayaha Sarki, thanked Governor Idris for giving him the opportunity to serve the people and he solicited for votes for the governor in the 2027 general election.
“The purpose of the empowerment programme is to enhance the livelihood of the less privileged in obedience to Governor Idris who tasked public office holders to do so,” he said.
