‘Kano a working progress’, media practitioner hails Tinubu-Abba partnership
An Abuja-based media practitioner and social commentator, Mallam Abdulmalik Suleiman, has lauded the partnership between Governor Kabir Abba Yusuf and President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, Suleiman described the numerous on-going infrastructural projects in Kano state as clear evidence that the partnership between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration at the centre and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration in the state is working and delivering results for the benefit of the people of the state.
Mallam Suleiman who stated that he drew the conclusion after his recent visit to the state said the experience is one he will not forget in a long time, adding that Kano can rightly be regarded as a project state, given the scale of infrastructure development on-going across the state.
He said the governor has demonstrated prudence in the management of the resources of the state, a situation that has ensured monumental achievements to show for what has accrued to the state from the Federation Account.
He stated that the state government has continued to justify every kobo of taxpayers’ money with massive projects spread across the 44 local government areas making up the state.
“It is glaring that Tinubu’s government is at the centre and Gov. Abba’s administration is simply a partnership that works and produces results. You can see it in the quality and spread of the projects,” Suleiman stated.
Speaking in Kano on Thursday after touring several project sites,
Suleiman listed some of the areas visited to include Lamido Crescent Road, Justice Dahiru Mustapha Farm Centre Road, Mai Allo Nassarawa/Gezawa Road, Tudun Wada Road, and Minjibir/Ungogo Road.
He noted that from road construction and flyovers to the renovation of schools and hospitals, urban renewal and rural development projects, Kano is wearing a new look.
“Kano is a work in progress. What I saw is beyond what people say outside. The governor is quietly delivering massive projects. Everywhere you turn, there is construction work going on. Kano is indeed a project site,” he added.
Suleiman called on Nigerians to visit Kano state to see firsthand the transformation taking place under the partnership between the Federal Government and the APC-led administration in Kano.
