The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded the modified logo and updated the national leadership roster of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) on its official website in compliance with a federal court directive.

The electoral umpire explicitly marked the changes as being implemented by court order following a legal battle over the political party’s visual identity and internal executive structure.

The administrative updates were triggered by a judgment delivered on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, by Justice J. O. Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

The lawsuit, registered under suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/1814/2026, was filed by the party after the commission refused to recognise and publish the modified logo and colour palette adopted during the party’s inaugural National Executive Committee meeting.

In the ruling, Justice Abdulmalik declared the commission’s refusal to recognise the rebranding efforts as unconstitutional, illegal, and an infringement on the political party’s legal rights.

Alongside the logo deployment, the commission formally updated the identities of the party’s principal national officers on its digital portal.

The newly recognised executive lineup places Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe as the National Chairman, while Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu is listed as the National Secretary.

Furthermore, John Odey is designated as the National Treasurer, Mainasara Abubakar Sani takes over as the National Financial Secretary, and Reuben Egwuaba is officially recognized as the party’s National Legal Adviser.
