Flying Officer Isa Muyiwa Adeshina — Best Graduating Cadet of NAF Who Died in Plane Crash Nine Days After Commissioning
▪️Kinsmen mourn, home town of Oluponna heartbroken, thrown into the abyss of sorrow
Oluponna, Ayedire Local Government Area, is in mourning following the tragic death of one of its most promising sons, Flying Officer Isa Muyiwa Adeshina, who lost his life in a plane crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State — just nine days after being commissioned as a Flying Officer in the Nigerian Air Force.
The loss is made even more heartbreaking by the extraordinary circumstances that preceded it. Flying Officer Adeshina was the best graduating cadet of Branch Commission Course (BC) 3 of the Nigerian Defence Academy in 2026 — a distinction that placed him among the finest military minds of his generation and gave his community every reason to celebrate a bright future.
He hailed from the Asalu Family of Moronje Compound, Oluponna, Ayedire Local Government Area, Osun State — a community that had barely finished celebrating his commissioning before it was called to mourn his passing.

Iwo, Osun State joins Oluponna and the entire Iwoland community in mourning Flying Officer Isa Muyiwa Adeshina — a patriot, a trailblazer, and a son of the soil taken far too soon.
