Blueprint award proves media, Nigerians ’re watching our performance – Zamfara governor Lawal

 Governor Lawal of Zamfara state Wednesday said the Blueprint Award proves that the media and Nigerians outside his state are noticing efforts by his government to make the state great.

This was contained in a statement issued in Gusau by the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris.

The statement quoted Governor Lawal as thanking the management of Blueprint Newspapers and dedicated the recognition to the people of Zamfara.

Governor Lawal was named recipient of Blueprint Newspapers’ 2026 Award for Efficient Public Resource Management and Transparency, in recognition of his administration’s commitment to fiscal accountability and prudent governance.

The governor was quoted as saying: “This award is a testament that the media and Nigerians outside Zamfara are witnessing the efforts my government is putting in our quest to make Zamfara great

“In the three years of my government, we have recorded so many successes in the areas of security, education, health, economy, human capital, and infrastructure. And all these were achieved because we run a transparent government.”

He pledged to intensify efforts to rescue and rebuild Zamfara through continued reforms and service delivery.

The management of Blueprint Newspapers Tuesday said it honoured the Zamfara state governor,  Dauda Lawal, for his professional accomplishments and commitment to fiscal discipline and infrastructure drive.

 Managing director of Blueprint Newspapers Limited, Salisu Umar described the governor as a blend of professional accomplishment and public service, citing his background in diplomacy, banking and politics as instrumental to his governance approach.

“As governor of Zamfara state, he continues to pursue policies aimed at restoring stability, improving infrastructure, strengthening public institutions and creating opportunities for economic growth,” Umar said.
