2027: I'm proud Lagos will witness change of gov with out quarrel – Sanwo-Olu
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has declared that the state will witness a change of governors with out a quarrel.
Sanwo-Olu mentioned the change is one thing that he will likely be pleased with as a governor of the state.
He spoke in the course of the unveiling of the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate within the state, Femi Hamzat’s manifesto and marketing campaign launch.
According to Sanwo-Olu: “I stand right here with solely seven months left in my workplace, a governor learns in his final months what he really constructed and I’ve learnt that the rails and bridges that we constructed, the hospitals that we commissioned, the rice mills are all proud to have.
“But I will tell you one thing that I’m the proudest is not what is made of concrete, it is that Lagos is going to change governors without a quarrel.
“Think about how uncommon that’s, throughout this nation we have now seen successions which have led to courtrooms, we have now seen deputies at battle, in Lagos, the governor and his deputy walked into this corridor collectively, will stroll out collectively and in May along with your help, considered one of them will handover the stage to the following one.
“A governor can leave and handover to someone that will not break the house. My brother and friend for many decades, Lagosians will hand you the heaviest baton in this country.
“I ask of you three issues, please preserve listening as a result of the individuals who elected us, did not elect us to cease listening to them.
“Finish the work, every line, every bridge, every hall and let no Lagosians ever say what we started together was abandoned.
“Finally, when your time comes, handover the best way you have been handed over to it.”
