2027: Everything is politics to you – Rivers ADC tackles Wike over Amaechi
The Rivers State chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has tackled the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, over his recent remarks about former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, the Rivers ADC spokesman, Chizzy Enyi, accused Wike of viewing every issue through the lens of politics.
Enyi was reacting to Wike’s comments on the 2027 presidential election, in which Amaechi is the vice-presidential candidate of the ADC.
Wike had said at the weekend that the people of Rivers State would choose President Bola Tinubu over Amaechi in the 2027 general elections.
According to the former Rivers State governor, Amaechi did nothing for the people of the state while serving as Minister of Transportation under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Wike also claimed that Amaechi would ask his supporters to boycott the 2027 presidential election before 11 am on election day.
Reacting, Enyi said Amaechi had decided against responding to Wike.
“Amaechi has resolved not to always respond to Nyesom Wike. To Nyesom, everything is politics.
“Honestly, there’s no value Wike has brought or is bringing to Rivers State,” he said.
