2027: Group plans 1m-woman solidarity walk for Tinubu, Uba Sani

A political support group, CGMUSAWAH for PBAT 2027, has announced plans to mobilise one million women across Kaduna state for a solidarity walk in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The group said the proposed “Mata Zallah” solidarity walk would form part of its mobilisation efforts for the two leaders and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The National Coordinator of the group, Dr Polycarp Gankon, disclosed this yesterday at a press conference held at the organisation’s headquarters on Yakowah Way, Kaduna.

Gankon said the group had established a mobilisation structure across the state, comprising 115 local government area mobilisers, 2,295 ward mobilisers and 24,036 polling unit mobilisers.

He said the structure was aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to him, the solidarity walk would also feature a grand reception in honour of Comrade Jerry Adams, whom he described as Governor Uba Sani’s running mate for the 2027 election.

Gankon said the organisation, formerly known as MUSAWAH 4 Youth & Development Initiative, had adopted the name CGMUSAWAH for PBAT 2027 to reflect its renewed focus on mobilising support for Tinubu, Sani and the APC.

He said the organisation would continue to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government and the SUSTAIN Agenda of the Kaduna State Government.

Gankon also commended Tinubu over the appointment of the group’s Grand Patron, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd), first as Chief of Defence Staff and later as Minister of Defence.

He described the nomination of Adams as the governor’s running mate as a demonstration of inclusion, adding that the group considered the performances of Tinubu and Sani deserving of second terms in office.
