2027 elections : APC launches 1m vote campaign in Southern Kaduna

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Tuesday formally launched its One Million Solidarity Votes Campaign in Southern Kaduna.

Party leaders, senior government officials and stakeholders at the event declared that the zone would deliver one million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The campaign was unveiled at the inauguration of the Southern Kaduna APC Support Group held in Kafanchan, headquarters of Jema’a local government area of Kaduna state, where speakers said the developmental strides of the Tinubu and Uba Sani administrations had repositioned the APC for greater acceptance across Southern Kaduna.

The event attracted serving and former political office holders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth and women groups, professionals, civil servants, community leaders and thousands of party supporters from the eight local government areas of Southern Kaduna.

While delivering the keynote address, the Kaduna state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, James Kanyip, said the APC-led administration had fundamentally changed the development trajectory of Southern Kaduna through inclusive governance, equitable appointments, infrastructure development and improved security.

Speaking on the theme, “Consolidating the Achievements of the APC-Led Government in Southern Kaduna: The Imperative of Re-electing APC in the 2027 General Election”, Kanyip said the region had, for many years, experienced political exclusion, inadequate infrastructure and poor representation, and  noted that Governor Sani had adopted a governance model anchored on dialogue, fairness and balanced development.
