Former vice president and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has called for increased mobilisation of women as he unveiled his support group code named: Atiku Pulse.
The group is a grassroots political mobilisation organisation and support network dedicated to advancing the political vision and campaigns of the former vice president.
Unveiling it alongside his political ally and promoter of the group, Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, weekend in Abuja, he said: “Nigeria urgently needs a new direction in job creation, security and other areas.”
Ibrahim-Imam blamed the country’s problems on what he described as “the failure of leadership” and irresponsibility of leaders.

“If things are working in our country, Atiku Abubakar would not be contesting the presidency. He is still sacrificing himself because things have not worked,” he said.
In his remarks, convener and chief strategist of the group, Nuhu Ajana, said its members will be “resisting through all lawful and democratic means, any attempt to assault or manipulate the sovereign will of Nigerian people in 2027.”
