'1,000 Missiles Locked And Loaded': Trump's Threat To Iran Over Assassination Fears
As the war in the Middle East intensified, US President Donald Trump on Saturday threatened Iran claimimg that 1,000 missiles were “locked and loaded” and aimed at Iran, warning Tehran that any attempt to assassinate him would trigger an overwhelming military response. The remarks came after the funeral of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei saw open calls for his killing.
In a Truth Social post, Trump wrote, “1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat, pronounced in many corners of the Globe, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!”
He added, “Orders have already been given, and the U.S. Military is ready, willing, and able, for a one-year period of time, subject to extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran.”
The US President’s remarks came hours after he said he has left instructions for a major military response if Tehran succeeds in assassinating him, warning that the Islamic Republic would face unprecedented retaliation. In an interview with the New York Post, he said, “I’ve left instructions — if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they’ve never seen before.”
