100 Zamfara support groups endorse Tinubu, Lawal for second term

The Zamfara State Directorate of Political Matters, Wednesday, staged a two-day sensitisation workshop and endorsement rally for Governor Dauda Lawal and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for second term.

The workshop was held at Alhaji Umaru Shinkafi House, Unguwar Gwaza area, adjacent Police Headquarters, Gusau.

Speaking to during the event, the special adviser to the governor on Political Matters, Hon. Alhaji Nura Sani Abdullahi, said the sensitization was designed to consolidate the achievements of the Governor Lawal and President Tinubu’s administration and secure wider grassroots endorsement ahead of 2027.

He said 100 political support groups across the state, signaled early mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He urged participants to cooperate with facilitators to achieve the objectives of political education, strategy alignment and stronger mobilisation across the 14 local government areas of the state.

Declaring the workshop open, Governor Dauda Lawal, who was represented by the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Garba Yandi, commended the support groups for their loyalty and commitment to the APC- led administration.

“This gathering is a clear testimony that the people of Zamfara appreciate the direction our government is taking under the leadership of Dr. Dauda Lawal,” the governor said.
