You offered Bayelsa to APC, you’ll pay in 2027 – Dickson blasts Diri
The nationwide chief of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Seriake Dickson, has slammed Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri for surrendering the state to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Dickson made the comment throughout a political go to to his residence state and group, Toru-Orua, alongside the social gathering’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, the Director-General of the NDC National Campaign Council, Mallam Ibrahim Abdulkarim and different social gathering leaders.
He expressed disappointment that Governor Diri has offered a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stronghold to APC for his personal egocentric political curiosity forward of 2027.
“You have surrendered Bayelsa to APC. You have sold Bayelsa to APC and you will pay for it in 2027.
“Bayelsa is PDP and PDP is Bayelsa. You can’t promote our state due to your second time period ambition,” Dickson said.
He revealed his 2027 plans, saying he and other original PDP leaders, including former President Goodluck Jonathan’s loyalists, will work together to take back Bayelsa from Diri and APC.
Dickson added that what Diri is doing is anti-party and betrayal of the PDP family that made him governor, and that the people of Bayelsa will resist it.
“We gave you a PDP ticket, we made you governor twice. Now you wish to give Bayelsa to APC. It won’t work. We will reclaim Bayelsa in 2027,” he declared.
The face-off between Dickson and Diri has divided the Bayelsa PDP into two camps forward of the 2027 elections, with many watching to see who controls the PDP construction within the state.
