Woman slumps and d!es during church service in Benue

A Benue woman identified as Joy Aondohemba Alia, has slumped and d!ed during church service.

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

A Facebook user, Agbaso Solomon Igba, who confirmed the incident claimed the deceased was the wife to Mr. Isaac Aondohemba Alia, the younger brother to Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Iormem Alia.

According to another facebook user, Akpen Denen, he rushed the woman to the hospital where a doctor confirmed her d3ad on arrival.

“I am astonished and still grappling with the events that transpired during today’s church service. You suddenly fell, and initially, I thought it might have been due to the anointing,” he wrote.

“Upon rushing you to the teaching hospital for medical attention, the doctor informed me of the devastating news that you didn’t survive. Who am I to question the divine will? Our Dear wife, Joy Aondohemba Alia, may your soul rest in peace.”
