We Don’t Work With Visa Agents, German Embassy Warns Nigerians
The German Embassy in Nigeria has cautioned applicants against relying on information from self-styled “visa agents,” stressing that all visa-related guidance should be obtained directly from official channels.
In a post shared on its official X account on Wednesday, the embassy urged Nigerians to avoid misinformation and unnecessary costs by consulting only verified sources.
“Beware of misinformation. Save yourself the hassle & just ask us directly,” the embassy wrote, while encouraging people to share claims they had heard from visa agents so the mission could address them in upcoming posts.
The embassy emphasized that it does not partner with visa agents, adding that all relevant details are freely available on its official website.
The warning comes amid growing concerns about misleading information circulating around visa applications and procedures.
The embassy advised Nigerians to verify claims through official platforms to avoid confusion, fraud, and exploitation.
