US Releases List of 124 Nigerians Slated for Deportation

The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released the names of 124 Nigerians slated for deportation as part of an expanded immigration enforcement operation under President Donald Trump’s administration.

The list was published on the DHS website on Wednesday as the agency highlighted individuals currently being processed for removal by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

According to the department, the ongoing deportation exercise is focused on what it described as “the worst of the worst” among undocumented immigrants with criminal records or those found to have violated U.S. immigration laws.

In a statement accompanying the publication, the department said:

“The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is highlighting the worst of criminal aliens arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).”

It added:

“Under DHS leadership, the hardworking men and women of DHS and ICE are fulfilling President Trump’s promise and carrying out mass deportations, starting with the worst of the worst, including the illegal aliens you see here.”

The latest move is part of the Trump administration’s intensified immigration enforcement programme following the president’s return to office on January 20, 2025.
