Troops arrest suspected ISWAP informant attempting to flee Adamawa community
Troops of the Joint Task Force North-East, Operation HADIN KAI, have arrested a suspected ISWAP informant who allegedly attempted to flee after residents became suspicious of his activities in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Intelligence sources told security analyst Zagazola Makama that the suspect, identified as Hassan Hammon Buba, 35, was arrested at about 2:30 p.m. on July 31, 2026 by troops of the 232 Battalion (Tactical) at Garaha Market.
The sources said the arrest followed credible intelligence linking the suspect to suspected insurgent activities.
According to the sources, the suspect allegedly tried to escape from the community after noticing that local residents were making efforts to report his suspicious movements and activities to security agencies.
