Sulyman Umaru Bubaram honored with prestigious ‘Magajin Garin Potiskum’ title

Sulyman Umaru Bubaram has been formally conferred with the distinguished traditional title of Magajin Garin Potiskum by the Potiskum Emirate Council.

The prestigious honour was bestowed upon him in recognition of his contributions and service, a decision ratified by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Potiskum, Alhaji Umaru Bubaram Ibn Wuriwa Bauya, OON, FICEN, ABSWA, CP (Rtd) .

In a heartfelt appreciation statement released to the public,the newly titled Magajin Garin Potiskum expressed profound gratitude to the Emir for the “honour, trust and confidence reposed in me through this distinguished appointment.”

He extended his sincere thanks to family, friends, dignitaries, and well-wishers who traveled from far and wide to witness the historic occasion, acknowledging that their presence, prayers, and encouragement made the event truly special.

The Magajin Garin Potiskum has invited the general public to join him for a special thanksgiving and appreciation visit to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Potiskum.

The visit is scheduled to take place on Saturday August 22, 2026, around 11:00 am prompt at the Emir of Potiskum’s Palace

The invitation emphasises that the visit is to formally express gratitude to the Emir for the confidence bestowed upon the new title holder.
