Secret Drone Factory in Ukraine, Final Meeting: Lindsey Graham's Last 24 Hours Revealed

Sen. Lindsey Graham toured a secret Ukrainian drone manufacturing facility just one day before his sudden death Saturday, praising the country’s advancements in unmanned aerial technology. Ukrainian officials, including President Zelenskyy, paid tribute to Graham following the news, while President Trump ordered flags lowered to half staff in his honour.

Just one day before his sudden death, Sen. Lindsey Graham toured a classified Ukrainian drone manufacturing facility, marking one of his last public acts before passing away Saturday evening at age 71. The South Carolina Republican visited a production plant belonging to SkyFall, a Ukrainian defense company, as part of a broader trip to the country, Ukraine Pravda reported.

The visit took place mere hours before news broke of his death from what his office described as a “sudden illness”. Graham wasn’t alone on the tour either. Rep. Michael McCaul, a fellow Republican from Texas, joined him, and both lawmakers also sat down with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the same visit.

“I’m grateful to Lindsey for recognising our warriors. The stronger Ukraine is on the battlefield, the greater the chances that diplomacy will ultimately succeed. And right now, it is important that our long-range sanctions pressure on Russia be reinforced through new sanctions steps by our partners,” Zelenskyy wrote after meeting Graham.

“Lindsey briefed me on the work underway in Congress on the relevant bill. We also discussed our urgent air defense needs to protect our people. During the NATO Summit in Ankara, President Trump and I reached political agreements on licensing the production of Patriots in Ukraine. It is now crucial to implement all of this at the team level,” Zelenskyy added.

Graham didn’t hold back his enthusiasm for what he saw. He argued that the United States has a lot to gain from studying Ukraine’s progress in unmanned aerial technology, and said he believed it would be a serious mistake for America to pass up the chance to cooperate with Ukraine on drone development. He framed it as a two way relationship, noting that Ukraine is willing to share its expertise partly because the US stood by the country during some of its hardest moments in the war.

This legislation, if passed, would penalise countries that import Russian oil and gas.

Zelenskyy also noted that in his final weeks, Graham had been focused on initiatives aimed at pushing the war toward peace, including efforts to strengthen sanctions against Russia.

According to reports, emergency crews responded to a call reporting cardiac arrest at Graham’s home in Washington, DC. Photos from the scene captured paramedics moving a person on a stretcher out of the residence and into a waiting ambulance.
