Regina Daniels Marks 25th Birthday In Wheelchair, Reveals Painful Health Battle

Nollywood star Regina Daniels has broken her silence on her health battle.

The actress revealed she has endured months of severe pain that has left her dependent on a wheelchair and unable to walk freely.

She made the disclosure in an emotional video posted on her Instagram page on Saturday, as she celebrated her 25th birthday.

In the video, Daniels addressed fans who had questioned her absence from social media, deciding to turn her birthday into a moment of truth.

“I know many of you may be surprised seeing me in a wheelchair. Well, welcome to another chapter of my life. Let me walk you through what my life has been since many of you have asked questions about my absence,” she said.

The mother of two said what started as a minor health issue slowly took away her freedom.

“For several months now, I have lost my freedom to move around as I please. It started as something minor, very minor, but eventually led to this,” she recounted.

According to her, things took a major turn after the last public gathering she hosted, her children’s day carnival.

From then on, it became a cycle of hospital visits and endless tests.

“One test after another, I jokingly started calling myself a lab rat. The pain became excruciating. Sometimes I can walk, and sometimes I can’t move. I cried,” she said.

The pain was not only physical. The actress spoke about the emotional toll of having to depend on others for routine activities she once did effortlessly.

Yet, sitting before the camera on her birthday, Daniels said she was choosing gratitude over despair.

“Well, me sitting here today, in front of this camera, sharing this with y’all, it’s because there’s been some really significant developments in my recovery. And I say, thank you, Lord,” she said with tears in her eyes.

She said her faith in God has sustained her through the darkest moments and she holds on to hope for complete healing and peace.

In the midst of the battle, she revealed she has moved closer to her loved ones, especially her children, whom she described as particularly dear to her heart.

She added that she initially rented the property she moved into for recovery but later developed interest in owning it.

Regina Daniels, who married businessman and politician Ned Nwoko in 2019 and has two children with him, has in recent months also been in the public eye over their contentious separation.d contentious separation.
