2027: Atiku's marketing campaign convoy reportedly attacked in Kebbi [VIDEO]
The presidential marketing campaign convoy of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has reportedly been attacked in Kebbi State.
The assault reportedly occurred because the convoy of the ADC presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, moved by Kebbi on marketing campaign engagements on Thursday.
According to reviews from the marketing campaign staff, hoodlums suspected to be thugs blocked the convoy, pelted autos with stones and focused members of the media crew following the marketing campaign.
“Most of the gadgets belonging to the camera and video crew were destroyed in the attack. Cameras, video equipment, tripods and other working tools were smashed, leaving the crew unable to continue live coverage of the campaign,” the marketing campaign staff mentioned.
The ADC marketing campaign staff described the attackers as ‘sponsored thugs’, saying the assault was deliberate to scare supporters and silence the media.
“The thugs did not come to steal. They came to destroy. They targeted our cameras and video crew because they did not want Nigerians to see what is happening here in Kebbi,” a member of the marketing campaign staff mentioned.
