Regal Princess Crew Search Update: Rescue Operation Underway After Crew Member Goes Missing Off Cancún Coast

A search and rescue operation is under way after a crew member aboard the Regal Princess cruise ship went missing in waters off the coast of Cancún, Princess Cruises has said. The Regal Princess is based out of Galveston, Texas.
In a statement, the cruise line said it was responding to the incident and working closely with maritime authorities. “Princess Cruises is responding to a situation involving a crew member aboard Regal Princess in waters off the coast of Cancun,” the company said.
The cruise line confirmed that the crew member remains unaccounted for. “Princess is coordinating closely with maritime authorities, and search efforts remain ongoing,” the statement added.
Princess Cruises said its thoughts were with those affected by the incident. “Our thoughts are with the crew member, their family, and all those impacted by this situation,” the company said. “We are providing support to our onboard team and remain focused on the ongoing search efforts.”
