Primate Ayodele Warns Adeleke: Tinubu Wants You Out of Office
The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has cautioned Governor Ademola Adeleke that President Bola Tinubu is keenly interested in the upcoming Osun governorship election and wants him removed from office.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, on Tuesday, Ayodele warned that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was preparing to “perform magic” during the poll scheduled for Saturday.
“Tinubu is fully involved and interested in Osun State. Adeleke shouldn’t allow anybody to deceive him that the president isn’t interested in it. He is closely monitoring the election and wants Adeleke out of power,” Ayodele said.
The cleric urged Adeleke to ignore claims that the President had no stake in the election, stressing that the APC would deploy money, influence, power, and the presidency to tilt the outcome.
“Adeleke must do everything he knows to ensure he stays in power because if he loses, it won’t be an easy journey for him. It will even be difficult to get anything from the court,” he added.
Ayodele’s warning comes amid speculation that Tinubu had distanced himself from the contest after directing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to unfreeze Osun State’s accounts.
