Police In Rivers Confirm 4 Killed, 1 Injured In Omoku Violence

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed that four persons including an OSPAC official and three women were killed in the gruesome attack that occurred on July 22, 2026, in Omoku, Ogba Egbema Ndoni Local Government Area of the state.

A statement issued on Wednesday by the spokesperson of the command, ASP Blessing Agabe also confirmed that one Obidi Emenike sustained gunshot injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.

Meanwhile,the state Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, has condemned the incident, describing it as unfortunate and a threat to the relative peace currently being enjoyed in Rivers State.

“The command condemns this heinous act in its entirety and assures the public that those responsible will be identified, arrested, and made to face the full weight of the law,” the commissioner of police said.

He further enjoined all community-based security groups and local vigilante outfits across the state to work in close collaboration with the police in their respective localities.
