Otti covers first part of ailing actress Ngozi Nwosu’s medical bills

Alex Otti, the governor of Abia state, has approved payment
for the first phase of medical expenses for ace Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu,
who recently appealed to the public for financial assistance over an
undisclosed health condition.

The 62-year-old actress, who is originally from Abia, had
revealed she requires three surgeries and needs N30 million to cover the total
cost of the procedures.

J Martins, the governor’s senior special assistant on
tourism and entertainment, took to his X page on Tuesday to announce Otti’s
intervention.

Martins thanked Otti for the timely intervention while still
appealing to Nigerians for continued support.

According to the governor’s aide, the intervention covers
only the first phase of Nwosu’s medical expenses, adding that more financial
support is still needed to ensure she receives the care she requires.

“His Excellency @alexottiofr have just stepped in on the
health issues of our Nollywood legendary actress Mrs ngozi nwosu to approve the
first part of her medical bills,” he wrote.

“While we sincerely appreciate His Excellency, we still
appeal to kind-hearted Nigerians to please support her in any way possible you
can

“On behalf of the creative industry, we all Thank you
immensely My leader. Ndewo sir.”
