Firm introduces tiered discount scheme for Enugu property buyers

Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd. hosted an industry gathering on Friday at the International Conference Centre in Enugu, attracting approximately 1,200 attendees, including investors and real estate brokers.
The event marked the official launch of the firm’s latest promotional campaign, designated as the Real Estate Ownership Made Easy (ROME) initiative, which is scheduled to run through September 30, 2026.
Managing Director Chibuikem Onyekachi Emmanuel outlined the details of the campaign, which offers structured payment terms across the company’s property portfolio. A primary focus of the promotion involves Glory Layout, a new development project in Enugu where plots are listed at ₦1,500,000. Under the terms of the ROME program, buyers opting for an outright purchase receive a 10 percent price reduction, while those selecting a 12-month installment plan receive a 5 percent discount.
“This is one of the best things that can happen to anyone who wants to own properties through us,” Emmanuel said during his presentation.
“The aim is simple: to produce numerous land and property owners… We want to ensure that people can own properties without stress and get the value of their investment.”
He further clarified that these buyer discounts will operate independently of standard commission rates paid to external realtors or staff.
Surv. Steve Ibaro, Manager at Powell Homes, detailed the operational guidelines, noting that buyers selecting installment plans must complete payments within one year or notify the firm regarding potential delays.
“ROME is an opportunity for people to own properties through flexible payment plans,” Ibaro stated. “The company remains committed to making property ownership easier for people who genuinely desire to invest in real estate.”
The launch also featured remarks from commercial partners and brand representatives.
Actress Patience Ozokwor addressed the audience regarding developer transparency, noting, “The way it handles its clients, realtors, and partners shows that it understands the importance of trust in this business.”
Similarly, Eze Christian, Managing Director of Chris Alex Homes and Properties Ltd., commented on his five-year broker partnership with Powell Homes, highlighting how developer-broker relationships shape the regional market.
“Powell Homes and Shelters has built a name through its commitment to genuine property transactions and good relationships with its partners,” Christian said.
“Its continuous support for realtors and partners has made it a dependable company.”
The ROME campaign reflects broader efforts by regional real estate developers to stimulate market demand through temporary price incentives and flexible payment arrangements. Powell Homes confirmed that all promotional rates will officially end on the September 30 deadline, with no immediate plans for an extension.
