Osun Election: I’ll Win if Election is Free, Fair – ADC Candidate Salaam

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Dr. Najeem Salaam, has expressed confidence in his chances at the ongoing election, declaring that he would emerge victorious if the process remains free and fair.

Speaking after casting his ballot at Polling Unit 003, Iroyin Ayo Open Space in Ejigbo, Salaam said the strong support he has received across the state shows that residents are ready for change.

“Without manipulation, I will win this election. The people of Osun are behind me and they are ready for change,” he stated.

The former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, however, raised concerns over reports of irregularities, alleging attempts to influence the process and claiming that some ADC polling agents were prevented from performing their duties.

He dismissed allegations of vote-buying against his party, insisting that the ADC’s campaign has focused on allowing citizens to freely choose their preferred candidate.

“Our party is not involved in vote buying. We believe that the people should be allowed to freely choose the candidate they want,” he said.

Despite his concerns, Salaam urged voters to remain calm, law-abiding, and vigilant, expressing hope that the final outcome would reflect the genuine will of the people.
