Op Hard Ball: US Continues Crackdown On Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, Adds Gangster Nitish Kaushal On Most Wanted List
The FBI has intensified its efforts against gangsters, recently added Nitish Kaushal, linked to the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria Organized Crime Group, on its most wanted list.
Washington DC: The United States intensified its crackdown on Indian gangsters. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Tuesday (July 14) added Nitish Kaushal, an alleged associate of the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria Organised Crime Group (OCG) to its most wanted list. Indian gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria is lodged in Silachar Jail.
According to the FBI, Kaushal is wanted for his alleged involvement in a transnational criminal organization engaged in, among other things, acts involving murder, kidnapping, drug trafficking, extortion, weapons trafficking, money laundering, and human smuggling.
“This organization, known as the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria Organized Crime Group (the “Bhagwanpuria OCG”), originated in the Punjab state of India and operated in the Central District of California and elsewhere. Kaushal is alleged to have carried out acts of violence on behalf of the Bhagwanpuria OCG, including, but not limited to, kidnappings and assaults,” the FBI said in a statement.
On June 25, 2026, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Kaushal in the United States District Court, Central District of California after he was charged with Racketeer Influenced and “Corrupt Organizations Conspiracy.”
Last week, the US law enforcement agencies initiated one of the most extensive coordinated actions against the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The FBI on July 8, offered a reward of up to USD 50,000 for information leading to the arrest of Satinderjeet Singh, also known as Goldy Brar. Notably, Brar is wanted for his alleged involvement in the Lawrence Bishnoi Organised Crime Group.
As per the FBI, the group is allegedly engaged in violence in the US and Canada. “The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest of Satinderjeet Singh, wanted for his alleged involvement in the Lawrence Bishnoi organised crime group, which is allegedly engaged in a variety of violent acts in Southern California, and across the United States and Canada,” the FBI said in an X post.
Notably, on July 7, the US authorities filed an indictment against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Jagdeep Singh, aka Jaggu Bhagwan Puria. It is the first time that indictment proceedings have been initiated against them. The crackdown has been codenamed “Hard Ball”. The development came as a global federal authority crackdown on Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang members is underway across the US, Canada, and Europe.
