Novato Fire Evacuation Map: Residents Ordered to Leave as Brush Fire Threatens Homes

A vegetation fire in Novato prompted immediate self-evacuation orders for residents on Albion Court, Silvio Lane, Briarwood Court and Sequoia Glen.

Self-evacuation orders have been issued for parts of Novato, California, after a vegetation fire broke out Tuesday afternoon near residential areas.

The Novato Police Department urged residents on the following streets to leave immediately:

Authorities said high-low emergency sirens were activated for evacuation alerts on those streets only.

According to the Novato Police Department:

“🚨VEGETATION FIRE UPDATE: Self Evacuations issued for Albion Ct., Silvio Ln., Briarwood Ct. & Sequoia Glen. Leave Now.”

Officials instructed residents to leave their homes immediately as firefighters continued working to contain the nearby blaze.

Fire crews responded to a reported vegetation fire near Sequoia Glen Lane and Scotia Lane in Novato.

Smoke from the incident was visible on the ALERTCalifornia Big Rock Ridge camera, while firefighters remained on scene battling the fire.

Authorities said the blaze had not yet been assigned an official acreage or containment percentage, and the reported location remains approximate as the response continues.

A PG&E camera also showed smoke rising from a low ridge that appeared to be close to homes and other structures.

Officials warned that with vegetation across Marin County continuing to dry, even relatively small fires can spread rapidly under favorable conditions.

Residents were advised to avoid the area, allow emergency crews to work safely, avoid flying drones near the wildfire, and report any additional smoke or fire by calling 911.
