The North Central Development Commission (NCDC) said it has begun the remodeling of its headquarters facility in Lafia, which was donated by the Nasarawa state government to ensure optimum service delivery.

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of the NCDC, Dr. Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil, disclosed this to newsmen on Wednesday, in Lafia.

He explained that the remodeling of the facility was geared towards creating more conducive environment for its staff for smooth operations.

He said the need to upgrade the facility became imperative as the commission will soon commence the recruitment of its staff and there is no available office space that can accommodate them all.

“Already we are 12 months old from establishment, we need to hit the ground running. We need to start projects, we need to employ staff, and therefore the need for us to upgrade this facility to accommodate our staff adequately,” he said.

He however, called on the contractor, Geodata Construction, to ensure that the project is delivered according to specifications as any form of poor jobs will not be tolerated by the commission.

The MD/CEO also implored the contractor to work assiduously to ensure that the work is delivered within 16 weeks.

Speaking, the site manager, Geodata Construction, Engr. Jim Jibrin, assured of delivering the project on time, and according to specifications.
