Nigerian Woman In Canada Demands Husband Swear Oath Against Cheating Before Sponsoring Visa
A Nigerian woman based in Canada has stirred widespread reactions on social media after revealing the unusual condition she gave her husband before agreeing to sponsor his relocation to the country.
Ezinne Nwanorue, who identifies herself as a prophetic intercessor, certified marriage counsellor, and mother of three, disclosed that her husband, Franklin Nwanorue, must publicly vow never to cheat on her if he eventually joins her in Canada.
According to her, the directive was inspired by God. She said her husband must record a video and post it on both Facebook and his WhatsApp status, declaring that he would remain faithful throughout their marriage.
In the proposed declaration, Franklin is expected to state that if he relocates to Canada and becomes unfaithful to his wife, he would face death “in the name of Jesus.”

Ezinne further insisted that her husband must also publicly pledge to remain a loving husband and a responsible father to their three children, describing the declaration as a prerequisite for his visa sponsorship.
She maintained that this was the only condition under which God would permit him to obtain a visa to Canada.
The post has since gone viral, triggering mixed reactions online. While some social media users praised her for taking a firm stand on marital fidelity, others questioned the need for such a public declaration, describing it as excessive and controversial.
The development has continued to generate debate on social media over trust, marriage, and the pressures couples sometimes face during immigration processes.
