A Nigerian man, Abraham Udonu, has narrated how kidnappers k!lled his brother after the family paid ransom twice.
In a Facebook post on Monday, August 3, 2026, Udonu revealed that his brother, Israel Edwin Udonu, was kidnapped alongside his brother-in-law and another man in Obajana, Kogi State on May 24, 2026.
The kidnappers freed the in-law and the other man after ransom was paid twice along with two motorcycles and other items but k!lled Israel.
Israel will be laid to rest in Kaduna on Tuesday.
“My elder brother was kidnapped along side my brother in-law and another man with them on the 24th of may 2026, on their way to Lagos from kaduna along Kogi road, Obajana to be exact,” he wrote.
“Ransom was paid twice + 2 bikes with other items. On the 30th of July my brother in-law and the other man were released but my brother was k!lled.
“This is a whole level of pain that I still haven’t been able to process. No body to bury, no goodbye, nothing just the cold reality that am not going to see him again.
“Nigeria has happened to my family, the military and police failed us in so many ways. But in all we give God the glory, our joy is full, God is still God and forever will be. Rest in peace big bro, I love you and will miss you so much.”
