Nigel Farage reveals he’s quitting parliament — but will run again in re-election: ‘I will fight to win’

Reform UK party leader Nigel Farage announced Tuesday he is quitting as a member of parliament.

Farage, who spearheaded the insurgent right-wing party to a historic local elections win in May, said he will fight the vote in the Eastern England constituency, framing the snap poll as a “people versus the establishment” election.

The pol is being heavily scrutinized over whether convicted criminal George Cottrell helped finance security the year before he was elected, which was first reported in the Times of London Sunday.

“I’ve decided that the people of Clacton should be the judges of my actions,” he said in a fiery televised address.

Farage was elected as Clacton’s MP in July 2024.
