Nasarawa assembly confirms Sule’s 8 commissioner-nominees

Nasarawa state House of Assembly has confirmed eight commissioner-nominees sent to it by Governor Abdullahi Sule.

Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, stated this after the screening of the nominees during the proceedings in Lafia, Wednesday.

While congratulating them on their well-deserved appointments, the speaker urged them to live above board, when finally sworn in.

He listed those confirmed as Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo (Wamba LGA), Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed (Lafia LGA), Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu (Keffi LGA), Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga Oyigye (Obi LGA), and Adamu Rabecca Kpadji (Wamba LGA, Nawani Aboki, from Doma LGA, Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim, from Nasarawa LGA. and Ashefo Daniel Paul, from Lafia LGA).

The speaker directed the Clerk to communicate the House resolution to Governor Abdullahi Sule for his further necessary action.

Earlier, Hon. Suleiman Yakubu Azara, the Majority Leader of the House, moved a motion for the confirmation of the commissioner- nominees and seconded by Hon. Luka Iliya Zhekaba, the Minority Leader.
