My Village People Were Attacked Today, Talk to Your People – Oyebamiji Tells Adeleke
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the recently concluded Osun State election, Bola Oyebamiji, has called on Governor Ademola Adeleke to caution his supporters following an attack on residents in his village.
Speaking to journalists at the Presidential Villa after meeting with President Bola Tinubu, Oyebamiji alleged that about five people were assaulted on Friday morning.
“I want to advise the governor that it is important to talk to his people. Violence kills our people and it’s not too good. Even this morning, about four or five people were attacked in my village. We have informed the security operatives,” he said.
Oyebamiji stressed that political differences should not lead to violence, urging Adeleke to ensure peace across the state.
On the outcome of the election, which he lost to Adeleke of the Accord Party, Oyebamiji noted that the APC was still reviewing the results and would make its position public soon.
