My Daughter Came To Me With Tears After I Got Mad, ‘Why, Daddy?’ That Changed Me Forever -Rotimi

Actor Rotimi Salami has opened up about how becoming a father profoundly changed him, particularly in teaching him how to control his anger, especially in the presence of his children.

Speaking on Talk-to-B, he recounted a time he got angry with his wife, and his young daughter approached him with tears in her eyes, asking why. He said that moment was the “beginning of the end” of him getting mad in front of his kids.

He explained that he is now very conscious of his tone and behavior around them, as he does not want his anger to have a negative impact on their development.

In his words: “My daughter came to me with tears in her eyes, just because she saw a strong face, and she was like, ‘Daddy, why?’ I said, ‘Your mother upset me.’ That was the beginning of the end of me getting mad in the presence of my kids. Even in their absence, I now try to control it because they hear my voice, and I would not want that for them…....
