The Matawalle Political Movement (MPM) has congratulated five prominent sons of Zamfara state, following their inclusion in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.
In a statement issued on Sunday in Gusau and signed by its Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, the group said the appointments have placed Zamfara on an enviable position in national politics and reflects a significant recognition of the state’s contribution to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The statement hailed President Tinubu for naming Sen. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar as the Director-General of the Tinubu/Shettima 2027 Campaign Council; Hon. Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle as Deputy Director, Security and Intelligence I; Governor Dauda Lawal as member of the Stakeholders Mobilisation Committee; former Governor Ahmad Sani Yerima and former Governor Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi also nominated into the Council.The MPM said it appreciated the inclusion of the two former governors, noting that it demonstrates the president’s commitment to inclusivity and experience.
