Man breaks into woman’s house, steals 22 pants for ritual purposes in Adamawa
A 27-year-old man identified as Muktar Shehu has been remanded at a correctional facility in Yola, Adamawa State for stealing 22 pieces of a woman’s pants for ritual purposes.
The Chief Magistrate Court 3 presided by Uwani Danladi issued the remand order when the defendant was arrangined before her by the Adamawa State Police Command.
Muktar of Zango ward in Jimeta, Yola North LGA, Adamawa State, was arraigned before the court by the prosecutor, Inspector Danjuma Hamidu, for the alleged offences of house trespass, theft and criminal charm.
First Information Report tendered in court by the Prosecutor says the defendant broke into the house of one Halima Yakubu on the 6th August, 2026 and made away with the 22 pants and other clothes.
The prosecutor informed the court that the defendant upon interrogation said he carted away the pants for ritual purposes.
On his arraignment in court, the defendant pleaded guilty of the alleged offences as a the prosecutor applied to call a witness to corroborate his plea of guilt.
