Man arrested for vandalising concrete barrier installed to prevent pedestrians from crossing expressway on Lagos road
A middle-aged man has been arrested by officials of the Lagos State Government for allegedly vandalising a concrete barrier installed to prevent pedestrians from crossing expressways.
Disclosing this to newsmen, the state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunboh Wahab, said the suspect was apprehended at Kosofe bus stop, Mile 12 during a monitoring and enforcement operation.
He said the suspect was found deliberately removing iron rods, cables, steel reinforcements, and other critical structural components that contribute to the stability and effectiveness of the concrete barrier.
Wahab added that the suspect will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
